Peak Lifestyle Design: What It Is

You are not living your life to its fullest potential.  That is a fact.  None of us are.  I’m not, you’re not, the entire world isn’t.

If we lived in a world where everyone lived to their full potential, the world’s problems would be solved.  Wouldn’t they?

World hunger?  Solvable.  Energy Crisis? Solvable.  Systematic poverty and the welfare state? Solvable.

Am I the guy with all of the answers?  Absolutely not.  Could I point to a couple of them?

World hunger could be solved by diverting the amount of grain/corn/soy that we feed livestock and distributing it to the people that are starving.

The energy crisis could be solved by utilizing government subsidies that Big Oil gets, creating an integrated power grid, and vastly changing our energy infrastructure and economy.

Systematic poverty? Experiment with a universal basic income, a sustainable, seasonal job market that focused on infrastructural improvements and employing people in companies founded on the ideal of social entrepreneurship.

Now, are these all of the answers we’re looking for?  No.  Is it a start? Absolutely.

However, that’s not what this blog is about.

Although it is a personal passion project of mine to think about life’s greater problems, I’m primarily concerned with unlocking the full potential of human life and making it accessible to the motivated individuals that are seeking to their best life.

Although life is anything but linear, I believe there are common principles that make up what I call “Peak Lifestyle Design”, or PLD for short.

PLD is about living an optimal life that balances the various domains of our existence:

  • Social
  • Physical
  • Spiritual
  • Emotional
  • Intellectual
  • Occupational
  • Environmental

The ideal of Peak Lifestyle Design is about each of us living our best life, and being the best version of ourselves we can possibly be.

It’s about taking a systematic approach to life, examining the core fundamentals of success across the various domains of our existence.

In order to uncover some “Peak Lifestyle” components, it starts by examining everything that we do through the lens of several guiding philosophies:

  • Minimalism
  • Platonic Ideals
  • “Why” Outlook
  • Inventor Mindset
  • Passion/Value-based Living
  • The Renaissance Man Blueprint

Using a systematic approach, combining these philosophies with the different domains of life, and synthesizing them with cutting edge research, we are at what this blog is about:  The Discovery of the Universal, Peak Lifestyle Design.
